"The professional approach, clarity, knowledge and enthusiasm that Monica passes on in her classes led me to fall in love with Gyrotonic. The pre-training with Monica gave me the essential foundation and a deep understanding of the Gyrotonic technique for which I am grateful".

GYROTONIC® Teacher Training with Monica Zamora

Gyrotonic Teacher Training involves a four step process from pre-training through to apprenticeship and on to final certification.

  • Pre-Training Course
  • Foundation Teacher Training Course
  • Foundation Teacher Training Apprenticeship
  • Final Certification

Pre-requisites:
All students wishing to participate in a Pre-Training Course must take a minimum of 10 private lessons with the Pre-Trainer on the Pulley Tower prior to enrollment.

Pre-Training
The purpose of the Pre-Training Course is to teach students in their own bodies the exercises presented in the Foundation Teacher Training Course.

During the course the aspiring teachers will complete a minimum of twenty (20) to twenty-eight (28) hours on the homework series and the Pulley Tower exercises. The Pre-Training course will also include a minimum of two (2) 60 minute classes in GYROKINESIS® methodology.

In completion of the course all aspiring teachers must have first-hand physical knowledge of all the exercises in the Pre-training Exercise List in order to be eligible to take a Foundation Teacher Training Course.

A Pre Training Qualification Agreement will be given to all the successful candidates. It is mandatory that at least 1 week elapses between the end of the Pre Training Course and the beginning of the Foundation Teachers Training Course. It is also mandatory that no more than 12 weeks elapse between the last day of the Pre Training Course and the first day of the Foundation Teacher Training Course.

It is highly recommended that the students proceed with all homework exercises and continue to train on the Pulley Tower Combination Unit regularly.
